Coolant Return Elbow Hose is a moulded 180-degree elbow within the engine cooling system pipework, forming the return connection in the coolant circuit.
Its tight moulded bend turns the coolant return line back on itself in the space available alongside the engine, carrying coolant on the return side of the circuit. The crown of the bend and the end fittings are the wear points: the rubber hardens with heat cycling and splits, giving a slow coolant loss that is often only visible once the system is up to pressure.
