Radiator Hose - coolant hose in the auxiliary water pump circuit fitted to supercharged petrol engines.

Supercharged engines carry a secondary, electrically driven coolant circuit that cools the charge air after compression. This hose forms part of that circuit, carrying coolant between the auxiliary water pump and the charge air cooler independently of the main engine cooling loop.

Because the auxiliary circuit is only active under certain running conditions, a leak here can go unnoticed for some time; check the hose and its clamped ends when tracing unexplained coolant loss.
