The hose runs between the coolant take-off at the inlet manifold and the coolant pump, returning heater circuit flow to the pump inlet so that cabin heating draws from and feeds back into the main engine cooling circuit. Applies to the 4.0 and 4.6 EFI V8 petrol engines.
