Power Steering Hose - Pump to Rack - the hose assembly linking the power steering pump to the rack-and-pinion steering gear.

It routes the supply and return legs of the hydraulic circuit between the pump and the rack, pre-formed to the factory path and located by its own retaining points so it holds clear of the surrounding engine-bay components.

For 4.2L V8 supercharged and 4.4L V8 EFI petrol installations. The crimped unions and the flexible sections carry full system pressure, and failure there shows as fluid loss, heavy steering at low speed and a whining pump. Bleed the circuit and check the fluid level after fitting.
