Heated Front Windscreen - front glazing panel with an integral electrical heating element, fitted in place of the unheated screen in the windscreen frame.

The heating element is embedded in the glass and terminated in electrical connections at the lower edge of the screen, which feed from the vehicle's heated-screen circuit. It clears frost, ice and internal misting from the glass directly, rather than relying on the heater blower to warm the screen.

On a vehicle not originally built with a heated screen the supply circuit is not present. A heated windscreen wiring and switch kit (DA1400) is required in addition to the glass in that case.
