Universal Joint for the propeller shaft, measuring 82 mm across the bearing caps with a 27 mm cap diameter.

The universal joint is the cross-and-bearing assembly carried in the yoke at each end of a propshaft. It transmits drive between the transfer box output flange and the axle input flange while accommodating the continually changing shaft angle as the suspension articulates. It consists of a hardened cross running in four needle-roller bearing cups, retained in the yoke by circlips. Used on both front and rear propshafts where the 82 mm joint is specified.

Size is critical. Measure the existing joint across the bearing caps before ordering: the 75 mm joint is visually similar but is not interchangeable.
