Turbocharger assembly for the 2.5L 300 TDi four-cylinder turbo diesel, mounted directly to the exhaust manifold within the induction and exhaust assembly.

Exhaust gas drives the turbine wheel, which in turn drives the compressor wheel on a common shaft to pressurise the intake charge. Boost pressure is regulated by the integral wastegate actuator. The compressor outlet feeds the intercooler and the turbine outlet connects to the front exhaust pipe, while an oil feed and drain from the engine lubrication circuit serve the centre bearing housing.

The oil feed and drain pipes should be cleaned or renewed and the feed primed before first start, as the centre bearing depends entirely on a continuous pressurised oil supply.
