Caliper Guide Pin Dust Cover for the guide pin (slider pin) in the disc brake caliper assembly.

The boot seals the guide pin bore in the caliper carrier, retaining the pin grease and excluding water, road salt and grit. A split or hardened boot lets the pin corrode and seize, which causes the caliper to bind and the pads to wear unevenly. Renewed whenever the caliper is stripped for pad or guide pin service.
