Front Wing Corner Chequer Plate Panels are moulded plastic trim panels fitted to the front wing top corners.

Flat aluminium chequer plate cannot follow the three-dimensional contours of a moulded wing, so these panels are formed in high grade LDPE to match the panel shape. They give the wing corners a chequer plate finish and take the scuffing from boots and equipment when working at the front of the vehicle.

What are the chequer plate wing panels for?
The chequer plate wing panels are moulded trim panels fitted to the front wing top corners of the New Defender (L663) from 2020. They give the wing corners a chequer plate finish and take the scuffing from boots and equipment when working at the front of the vehicle.
Why are these panels plastic rather than aluminium?
These panels are formed in high grade LDPE because flat aluminium chequer plate can't follow the three-dimensional contours of the New Defender's moulded wing. The plastic is moulded to match the panel shape, which flat alloy plate cannot do.
Which Land Rover do these wing panels fit?
These wing corner panels fit the New Defender (L663) from 2020 onwards, supplied as a pair for the front wing top corners. They don't suit the older Defender up to 2016, which has a different wing shape.
