Snorkel Pre-Filter Sock - a fabric sleeve that fits over the head of a raised air intake, upstream of the intake duct and the air box.
It works as a first-stage barrier, catching dust, chaff, seed heads and insects before they reach the main filter element inside the air box. In dry and dusty conditions this keeps the main element clean for longer and extends the interval between filter services. The sock is washed and refitted rather than replaced.
Flat top profile, shaped to suit the older flat-topped style of Safari raised air intake head.
