Hi-clearance air box lid in alloy, replacing the standard lid of the air filter housing within the air intake assembly.

The raised profile lifts the intake pipework clear of the right-hand front shock turret, providing the clearance required once raised or long-travel turret shock mounts are fitted. Only the lid is replaced: the existing air filter box and filter element are retained.

What is the TF396 air box lid?
The TF396 is a hi-clearance alloy air box lid for the Land Rover Defender Puma (2007-2016). It replaces the standard plastic air box lid with an aluminium one shaped to clear long-travel suspension turrets. It keeps the intake sealed while making room for a raised or uprated front suspension setup.
Why would I need a hi-clearance lid?
A hi-clearance lid is needed when a long-travel or raised front suspension turret fouls the standard air box lid. The TF396 alloy lid is reshaped to clear the turret, so the air box still fits and seals. If your Defender Puma runs a lift or long-travel front end, this solves that clash.
Does the TF396 fit any Defender?
The TF396 fits the Land Rover Defender Puma from 2007 to 2016, which uses the air box this lid is shaped for. It doesn't suit earlier Td5 or 300Tdi Defenders with a different air box. Confirm your Defender is the 2.2 or 2.4 TDCi Puma before ordering.
