Wide angle propshaft, part of the driveline assembly between the transfer box and the axle. It transmits drive from the transfer box output flange to the axle differential input flange.

The 32 degree wide angle yoke and universal joints allow considerably more articulation than a standard shaft. On long travel suspension the standard yoke can bind at full axle droop, straining the joints and in severe cases locking or tearing the shaft. The wide angle geometry accommodates the articulation typical of setups running around 11 inch travel shock absorbers.

Construction: 20% stronger than a standard propshaft, 32 degree wide angle yoke and joints, RILSAN coated 100 mm spline slip coupling with a double seal arrangement, metal shield greasable universal joints, gun metal grey finish.

Note: a wide angle propshaft is not a remedy for driveline vibration caused by raised suspension. That vibration originates in the angle of the shaft relative to its end flanges, which a wide angle shaft does not alter. A double cardan propshaft is the component intended to address it.
