Grub Screw for the gearbox and transfer box selector mechanism.
This is an M10 grub (set) screw that locks a selector fork or yoke onto its selector shaft, so that shaft movement is transferred directly to the fork without slip. In the transfer box it is used in the high/low range selector assembly; the same screw is also used at several other points in the manual gearbox selector train.
The screw is tightened against a machined flat on the shaft and should be renewed rather than reused once it has been disturbed, as the thread locking and the seating face are both compromised on removal.
