Clutch Alignment Tool is a double-ended workshop tool for centring the clutch on manual transmission applications.

During installation the tool holds the driven plate concentric with the crankshaft spigot, so the gearbox input shaft passes through cleanly when the transmission is refitted. One end aligns the clutch disc and pressure plate; the other aligns the drive plate and acts as a spigot bearing installer. Combines two clutch tools in a single double-ended body.

Frequently asked questions

What is the DA1147 clutch alignment tool used for?
The DA1147 clutch alignment tool centres the clutch driven plate during installation on manual transmission Land Rovers. It holds the disc concentric with the crankshaft spigot so the gearbox input shaft passes through cleanly when the transmission is refitted.
What does the double-ended design do?
The double-ended design combines two tools in one body. One end aligns the clutch disc and pressure plate; the other aligns the drive plate and acts as a spigot bearing installer. That covers alignment and bearing fitting without swapping tools.
Which vehicles does this clutch tool suit?
Suits manual clutch work on the Land Rover Defender up to 2016 and Discovery 3 (2005-2009). It's matched to the clutch and spigot dimensions of these applications, so it's used specifically on these models.
