Turbocharger Circlip - retaining clip for the turbocharger actuator on diesel turbocharger installations.

It secures the actuator rod to the control lever on the turbocharger, holding the linkage together so actuator travel is transferred accurately to the vane or wastegate mechanism. Because the clip is small and easily lost or distorted once disturbed, it is normally renewed whenever the actuator or turbocharger is removed.
