Auxiliary Drive Belt - primary accessory drive belt for the 3.6L V8 32V DOHC TDV8 diesel engine.

Driven from the crankshaft pulley, the belt turns the power steering pump, the air conditioning compressor and the coolant pump, running in the space between the cylinder head and the coolant pipe at the front of the engine. Because the coolant pump sits on this belt, a thrown or broken belt takes out coolant circulation as well as steering assistance - this is not a belt to run on past its service life.

Polyvee construction, held in tension by the automatic tensioner. Replace at the first sign of rib cracking, glazing or edge fraying, and check the tensioner and idler pulley bearings while the belt is off.
