Supplied without the head gasket. Td5 head gaskets are graded by thickness, identified by the number of holes in the gasket tab, and the correct grade must be selected to suit the measured piston protrusion; it is ordered separately.

What's included in this cylinder head set?

This covers the gaskets and seals disturbed when the Td5 cylinder head is removed and refitted, but doesn't include the head gasket itself. Td5 head gaskets are graded by thickness, identified by the number of holes in the gasket tab, so the correct grade must be ordered separately to match your measured piston protrusion.

What's the difference between this and the versions with a gasket or bolts included?

This set has no head gasket, so you order the correct-grade Td5 head gasket separately based on piston protrusion. GA2112-3 includes a 3-hole gasket already at that grade, and GA2112B adds the head bolts as well. Choose based on your measured protrusion and whether your bolts need renewing.

Why would this set need replacing?

The gaskets and seals in this set are disturbed any time the cylinder head comes off, whether for a head gasket failure, decoke or other engine work, so they're renewed as standard rather than reused. Reusing old seals risks oil or coolant leaks after reassembly.
