Injector Washer Kit for the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel - fuel injection system, injector-to-cylinder-head sealing.

Each injector seals into its bore in the cylinder head: against combustion pressure at the nozzle end, and against fuel leakage further up the injector body. Those seals are deformed by the clamping load when the injector is drawn down onto its seat, and are not reusable once disturbed.

New sealing parts should therefore be fitted whenever an injector is removed or replaced - for example during injector harness renewal, injector testing, or cylinder head removal.
