Blower Motor Resistor Pack - speed control for the heater and air conditioning blower motor, also referred to as the air conditioning switch.

The pack sits in the blower housing behind the glovebox and drops the voltage supplied to the blower motor to produce the intermediate fan speeds; the highest setting bypasses the resistor and feeds the motor directly. When the resistor element fails, the blower typically runs only at its maximum setting, or stops altogether.

The unit is mounted directly in the blower airflow so that it is cooled in use, and must be refitted in its original position for that cooling to work.
