Engine oil pump assembly for the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel, forming part of the engine lubrication circuit.
The pump is driven from the crankshaft and draws oil from the sump through the pick-up strainer, delivering it under pressure to the oil filter and on to the main and big-end bearings, the cylinder head and the turbocharger. It is accessed with the front timing cover removed, so it is commonly renewed at the same time as front-end sealing and timing work.
