Gearbox Mounting - Right Hand - bonded rubber mounting in the transmission mounting assembly, fitted between the gearbox and the chassis crossmember on the right-hand side.

The mounting carries the rear weight of the gearbox and transfer box and isolates driveline vibration and noise from the chassis and body. Perished, oil-soaked or collapsed rubber lets the transmission sit low and move excessively under torque, which shows as driveline vibration, contact between the propshaft or exhaust and surrounding components, and movement at the gear lever.

Mountings are best renewed as a pair; the left-hand mounting is LR173869.
