Coolant Outlet Elbow for the V8 petrol engine, part of the coolant outlet (water rail) at the front of the engine.

The elbow takes coolant leaving the cylinder heads and directs it into the radiator top hose, and provides the connection points for the adjoining coolant hoses.

It is a recognised corrosion and leak point: the sealing faces deteriorate with age and coolant weeps from the joint, so the faces should be cleaned and the gasket renewed on fitting.
