Lower Steering Column Repair Kit is the lower steering shaft assembly, supplied for repair of the column run between the base of the upper column and the steering box.

The lower shaft carries steering input down to the steering gear input shaft, articulating through its universal joints to accommodate the angular offset between the two. Worn joints in this shaft produce lost motion at the steering wheel and a knock felt through the rim when changing direction.

This kit is supplied complete with the upper and lower linkage components, so the shaft and both of its joints are replaced as a single unit.
