Bolt - M16 - special hex-head bolt from the radius arm mounting hardware, clamping the radius arm to its chassis bracket.

The radius arm locates the axle fore and aft and reacts braking and drive torque into the chassis, making this a high-load joint. The bolt passes through the centre sleeve of the radius arm bush and clamps the bush into the chassis bracket.

Supplied as a single bolt. The corresponding fixing used on earlier vehicles is ANR6920.

Frequently asked questions

What is the M16 radius arm to chassis bolt used for?
This M16 bolt secures the front radius arm to the chassis on the Discovery 2. The radius arm controls fore-aft axle location, so this fixing carries braking and suspension loads. It's a specific high-tensile suspension bolt, not a general-purpose M16.
How many of these bolts are needed?
One bolt is needed per vehicle for the radius arm to chassis fixing on the Discovery 2. If you're refreshing both sides or the radius arm mounts, order the quantity to match the number of positions you're working on.
Does this bolt fit every Discovery 2?
This bolt fits the Discovery 2 from VIN (V)XA210121 and (V)XA905160 onwards. Earlier Discovery 2 vehicles use a different bolt, ANR6920, so check your VIN before ordering. Using the wrong bolt for the build can affect how the radius arm seats.
