Rear Air Spring for the rear self-levelling air suspension. The air spring is the inflatable rubber bellows that takes the place of a rear road coil spring, supporting the axle on compressed air so the suspension control system can set and hold ride height as load changes.

It mounts between the axle spring seat and the chassis spring turret and is retained by clips (NTC9449) at the upper and lower seats.

Fitting note: raise the vehicle by the chassis so the axle drops far enough to release the spring, and inflate the new air spring before the vehicle is lowered onto it. Lowering the vehicle onto an uninflated bellows can fold and destroy it.



A perished or leaking air spring lets that corner settle when the vehicle is parked, increases compressor duty cycle and reduces available suspension travel.
