Rear Shock Absorber for coil-sprung rear suspension on vehicles fitted with Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE), part of the rear shock absorbers and springs assembly.
Controls the rate at which the rear coil spring compresses and rebounds, restraining axle movement and limiting body movement under braking and cornering. ACE uses hydraulically actuated anti-roll bars to resist body roll, and a distinct damper is specified for ACE-equipped vehicles; it is not interchangeable with the non-ACE damper or with the air-suspension variant.
Fitted in pairs, one per side.
