Rear Shock Absorber for air-sprung rear suspension on vehicles fitted with Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE), part of the rear shock absorbers and springs assembly.

The rear air springs carry the load and set ride height; the damper controls the rate at which the suspension compresses and rebounds, restraining axle movement and limiting body movement under braking and cornering. ACE uses hydraulically actuated anti-roll bars to resist body roll, and a distinct damper is specified for vehicles combining air suspension with ACE; it is not interchangeable with the coil-sprung ACE damper, nor with the air-suspension damper for vehicles without ACE.
