Frequently asked questions

What is this brake hose for?
This is a rear brake hose for the Discovery 2 (1998-2004), left-hand side, supplied with the banjo bolt. The flexible hose carries fluid to the rear caliper.
Which side does this hose fit and what's included?
This is the left-hand (LH) rear hose and includes the banjo bolt for the caliper union. Order the right-hand hose separately if you're doing both sides.
Why would a brake hose need replacing?
Flexible brake hoses typically perish, crack or swell internally with age, giving a spongy pedal or a dragging brake. Replace if the hose is cracked or weeping.
What's involved in fitting it?
Fitting opens the hydraulic circuit, so the brakes need bleeding afterward. Using fresh copper washers on the banjo union is standard practice.
