Brake Master Cylinder - tandem master cylinder assembly at the head of the hydraulic braking system, mounted to the front face of the brake servo on the bulkhead.

Pedal effort, amplified by the servo, acts on the master cylinder pushrod; the cylinder converts that force into hydraulic pressure and distributes it through two independent circuits, so that braking is retained if one circuit fails. Fluid is drawn from the reservoir carried on top of the cylinder body.

Supplied in right-hand drive configuration; the left-hand drive cylinder is a separate part.

A master cylinder that bypasses internally gives a pedal that sinks slowly under steady pressure with no external leak. Bleed both circuits after fitting.
