Brake Servo Vacuum Hose - moulded hose assembly in the brake vacuum circuit.

The hose carries manifold depression from the inlet manifold to the brake servo, supplying the vacuum that provides the power assistance felt behind the brake pedal. This is the hose specified for engines equipped with secondary air injection.

A perished, split or internally collapsed hose causes a hard brake pedal and loss of servo assistance. Because it connects directly to the inlet manifold, a leaking hose also admits unmetered air into the induction system and can produce a rough or unstable idle.
