Heavy duty rear door spare wheel carrier, part of the rear door spare wheel mounting assembly. It replaces the original door-mounted carrier and bolts up using the standard rear door mounting points, so no additional drilling or bracketry is needed.

The frame is built substantially heavier than the standard carrier to carry the extra mass of an oversize spare, and the wheel mounting face is spaced further out from the door skin. That extra clearance allows wheel and tyre assemblies of up to 35 inch diameter to be carried without the tyre fouling the bodywork or the rear screen.

The rear door hinges and check strap carry the additional load, so hinge condition should be checked before a large spare is mounted.
