Parking Distance Control Spring is the retaining spring for the Parking Distance Control (PDC) sensors mounted in the rear bumper.

It secures a PDC sensor into its housing, holding the sensor firmly against the bumper bezel so that it sits at the correct position to detect obstacles during low-speed manoeuvring. The spring works together with the sensor retainer and bezel that make up the sensor mounting in the bumper.

Frequently asked questions

What is the YYC000450LR Parking Distance Control spring?
The YYC000450LR is the retaining spring for a Parking Distance Control (PDC) sensor in the rear bumper of the Land Rover Discovery 2 (1999-2004). It clamps the sensor against the bumper bezel so it holds the correct position to detect obstacles when manoeuvring at low speed.
How does YYC000450LR relate to Land Rover part YYC000450?
YYC000450LR carries the Land Rover part number YYC000450; it's the same PDC retaining spring supplied under the AllMakes catalogue code. Either reference fits the Discovery 2 (1999-2004) rear parking sensor mounting, so order whichever code matches your sourcing.
How many PDC springs do I need for a Discovery 2 bumper?
One YYC000450LR spring retains a single PDC sensor, so you'll typically need one per sensor being refitted. The Discovery 2 rear parking aid usually uses several sensors across the bumper, so check how many you're servicing before ordering.
