Frequently asked questions

What is the BHF780040 stay?

The BHF780040 is a luggage compartment door stay that supports the door when open and controls its travel. It mounts between the body and the luggage compartment door on the Discovery 3 and Discovery 4.

What does the door stay do?

The door stay holds the luggage compartment door open and limits how far it swings, taking the weight so the door stays put. It works within the tailgate and door assembly on the Discovery 3 and 4.

Which Discovery models does this stay fit?

This stay fits the Land Rover Discovery 3 (2005-2009) and Discovery 4 (2010-2016). Check the mounting points against your original, as the luggage door hardware is specific to these models.
