Frequently asked questions

What is the Heater Assembly Clip (MUC6529) used for?
The Heater Assembly Clip (MUC6529) is a retaining clip inside the heater (HVAC) box that holds adjoining components of the heater unit together. It keeps the mating parts located and maintains correct alignment of the assembly. It fits the Land Rover Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic (up to 1994).
How many heater clips do I need?
The heater assembly typically uses several clips to hold the heater box and its components together, so you may need more than one MUC6529. Check how many are fitted to your existing heater unit before ordering. As small retaining clips, buyers often order a few as spares.
Where is the heater assembly clip located?
The heater assembly clip (MUC6529) sits inside the heater box, part of the HVAC system behind the dashboard. It secures adjoining sections of the heater unit rather than any external component. Access usually means removing trim to reach the heater assembly on the Discovery 1 or Range Rover Classic.
