Thermostat for the engine cooling circuit of the 2.7-litre V6 Lion turbo-diesel.

The thermostat regulates coolant flow between the engine and radiator. It stays closed during warm-up so the engine reaches operating temperature quickly, then opens progressively as coolant temperature rises to route flow through the radiator, holding the engine at a stable running temperature.
