EGR Cooler - low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler within the engine's EGR circuit, fitted to the 2.0L four-cylinder diesel (AJ200 / AJ20D4).

The cooler reduces the temperature of recirculated exhaust gas before it rejoins the intake charge, lowering peak combustion temperature and NOx formation. Engine coolant is routed through the unit to draw heat from the gas as it passes through the low-pressure EGR loop.
