Oil Cooler Gasket for the engine oil cooler and filter housing assembly on the 4.4L DOHC DITC V8 diesel.

Seals the joint face between the oil filter housing and the engine oil cooler, containing full-pressure oil as it passes out of the housing, through the cooler core and back into the lubrication circuit. A failure at this gasket shows as an oil leak at the housing-to-cooler joint rather than as a loss of cooling performance.

The gasket is a single-use item and should be renewed whenever the oil cooler or the filter housing is disturbed. Check that both mating faces are clean and undamaged before refitting.
