EGR Inlet Gasket for the exhaust gas recirculation circuit of the 2.0L I4 AJ200 Ingenium diesel engine.

The gasket seals the EGR inlet joint on the right-hand side of the engine, where recirculated exhaust gas is returned into the intake charge. It works against hot, soot-laden gas and constant pressure pulsation, so it is a single-use item and should be renewed whenever the EGR valve, EGR cooler or the connecting pipework is removed.

A failed gasket shows as a soot trail or audible leak at the joint, and can set EGR flow or boost pressure fault codes.
