Camshaft Cover Gasket - moulded gasket sealing the camshaft cover to the cylinder head.

It seals the valve train and cam carrier area against oil loss and keeps the crankcase ventilation path within the cover closed. Hardening, compression set or splitting of the gasket produces oil weeping from the joint between the cover and the head. The gasket is renewed whenever the camshaft cover is removed.

Fitted to the 3.0L AJ20P6 / AJ22P6 Ingenium six-cylinder petrol engine.
