Primary Fuel Filter - the main in-line filter in the diesel fuel supply circuit, supplied complete with its mounting bracket.

The filter is positioned upstream of the high-pressure pump and removes particulate contamination from the fuel before it reaches the pump and the injectors. It serves the 2.0L four-cylinder and 3.0L AJ20D6 six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engines.

Filtration quality is critical on a common-rail system: the high-pressure pump and injectors work to clearances measured in microns, and contaminated fuel is a leading cause of pump and injector failure. Renew at the interval given in the vehicle's service schedule, or sooner where fuel quality is poor.
