Heater Hose - coolant hose in the cabin heating circuit, carrying engine coolant between the engine cooling system and the heater matrix in the HVAC housing.

Flow through this hose sets the heat available to the matrix and therefore the cabin output, and the hose is under full cooling system pressure whenever the engine is running. Renewal is called for when the rubber has hardened or cracked, when it has softened and swollen at the connector ends, or where seepage is causing coolant loss and reduced heater performance.

Applies to the 2.0L AJ20P4 petrol engine.
