Front Shock Absorber for the front suspension damper assembly.

The damper controls oscillation of the front coil spring, damping wheel and body movement so the tyre stays loaded over uneven surfaces. It locates between the lower suspension mounting and the upper mount in the turret, and works in conjunction with the coil spring, upper mount and bump stop.

Dampers wear progressively rather than failing outright; replacing them in axle pairs keeps damping rates matched from side to side.
