Exhaust System Damper - a tuned mass damper clamped to the exhaust pipework.

The damper adds calibrated mass at a specific point in the exhaust run to absorb resonant vibration, reducing the booming and drumming that would otherwise be transmitted through the exhaust mounts into the body structure. Fitted to 2.0L I4 Ingenium diesel applications.

The damper carries no gas flow and forms no part of the exhaust seal; it is a vibration control component only.
