Front Suspension Arm - left-hand upper control arm (wishbone) in the front double-wishbone suspension assembly.

The upper arm connects the top of the wheel knuckle to the body-side mountings, setting camber and caster geometry and locating the top of the hub throughout suspension travel. The outer end carries an integral ball joint into the knuckle; the inner end pivots on bushes at the chassis mountings. This is the standard-length arm.

Wear in the ball joint or the inner bushes typically shows up as steering wander, uneven front tyre wear, or knocking over broken surfaces. The arm is renewed as a complete assembly, and the front wheel alignment should be reset after fitting.
