Heat Shield Bracket for the exhaust manifold and turbocharger heat shield on the Duratorq TDCi (Puma) diesel engine.
The bracket bolts to the exhaust manifold and carries the shield that screens surrounding components, wiring and pipework from radiated manifold and turbocharger heat. It sits directly in the hottest part of the engine bay and is subject to continuous heat cycling and vibration, so it can fatigue and crack in service; the usual symptom is a rattle from the engine bay with the shield loose or displaced.
