Vacuum Hose for the secondary air injection system on 4.0L and 4.6L V8 EFI petrol engines.

Supplied as a moulded pipe assembly running from the engine to the exhaust side of the installation. It carries manifold vacuum to the air injection control valve, which opens to admit pump air into the exhaust during the cold start emissions cycle.

Because the hose runs close to the exhaust it hardens and splits with age; a leak in this line leaves the control valve unable to open, disabling air injection.

Fitted to left-hand drive applications equipped with secondary air injection.
