ABS Sensor - Front - wheel speed sensor in the anti-lock braking system, mounted at the front hub carrier.

It reads the tone ring on the hub and feeds wheel speed data to the ABS control module, which uses the signal for anti-lock braking, traction control and stability control functions. Two are fitted per vehicle, one at each front wheel.

A failed sensor normally illuminates the ABS and stability control warning lamps and disables those systems until the fault is rectified.
