Rear ABS wheel speed sensor, part of the anti-lock braking system's wheel speed sensing circuit.

The sensor mounts at the rear wheel station and reads the toothed exciter ring rotating with the hub, supplying the wheel speed signal the ABS control module uses to detect impending wheel lock and modulate brake pressure at that wheel. The same signal is used by the electronic traction control system.

This is the long-lead type: the cable terminates in bare wires rather than a moulded plug, so it is joined to the existing vehicle harness at installation.
