Brand ATE
Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor for the anti-lock braking and stability control system, mounted at the rear hub carrier and reading the encoder ring integrated into the wheel bearing.

The sensor produces a signal proportional to wheel rotation. The ABS modulator uses it to detect impending wheel lock under braking and to modulate hydraulic pressure at the caliper; the same wheel speed data is shared with the traction and stability control functions.

A failed sensor or a contaminated encoder ring will disable ABS and stability control and illuminate the associated warning lamps.
Fitment Notes JAGUAR — Rear ABS wheel speed sensor. Fits XF (X260) 2016>, XE (X760) 2015>

Frequently asked questions

What does the T2H48445-G rear ABS wheel speed sensor do?
The T2H48445-G rear ABS wheel speed sensor reads the encoder ring built into the rear wheel bearing and sends a signal proportional to wheel rotation. The ABS system uses it to detect impending wheel lock under braking, and the same data feeds the traction and stability control functions.
Where is this rear ABS sensor mounted?
The rear ABS wheel speed sensor mounts at the rear hub carrier and reads the encoder ring integrated into the wheel bearing. It fits the Jaguar XF (X260) from 2016 and XE (X760) from 2015. Because it reads the bearing's encoder ring, a damaged ring can mimic a sensor fault.
What happens when this ABS sensor fails?
A failed sensor or a contaminated encoder ring disables ABS and stability control and lights the associated warning lamps. The car still brakes normally, but without anti-lock or stability intervention. On these Jaguars, check the encoder ring and sensor tip for debris before replacing.
