Frequently asked questions

What does the ARB CKMA12 air compressor do?
The CKMA12 is ARB's single-motor 12V on-board air compressor, permanently mounted to the vehicle. It supplies air to run ARB Air Locker differentials and, with the right pump-up kit, can inflate tyres too.
What's included with the CKMA12 compressor kit?
It comes with the compressor unit, a wiring loom with Air Locker solenoid connections, a mounting bracket and hardware, and an isolating switch. You'll need a separate manifold or pump-up kit to add tyre inflation.
What's the difference between the CKMA12, CKSA12 and CKMTA12?
CKMA12 is the standard single-motor unit. CKSA12 is a smaller single-motor version aimed purely at Air Locker operation, and CKMTA12 is a twin-motor unit for higher air demand across multiple lockers or accessories.
Does the CKMA12 need to be professionally fitted?
It's designed for permanent on-board mounting and involves wiring into the vehicle's electrical system, so many owners have it fitted professionally, though experienced DIYers can install it using the supplied loom and bracket.
